Reno Jazz Festival

Image result for REno jazz festivalThe EHSEU Jazz I and Jazz II bands participate in the Reno Jazz Festival held each year at the University of Nevada, Reno, NV in the spring.

Considered one of the best of its kind in the world, and lauded by the San Francisco Chronicle as “showcasing music’s future,” the Reno Jazz Festival has been hosting jazz superstars and the finest emerging young artists for over five decades.  Celebrating 58 years of jazz, 1962-2020, the Festival hosts three days of concerts, clinics and competitions on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. 

The festival also acts as an educational venue for some of the country’s most talented middle school, high school and college-age musicians, as thousands compete with their school bands, vocal groups and ensembles from around the Western states.  The three-day festival culminates in a showcase concert and awards ceremony to honor the best and brightest young standouts.

Est. Student Cost is $534 for those who DO NOT have a Jazz Polo ($22 cost of Polo)

Additional Expenses:

Hotels for Parents/Family/Friends
Parents/Family and Friends may make their own reservations. We are staying at the Grand Sierra Resort, 2500 East 2nd Street, Reno, NV  89595    

We have reserved 10 rooms at the Grand Sierra Resort with our group booking at the following rate: Thursday $159, Friday $199, Saturday $199 + 13% tax, a $2.00 per night Tourism Fee and a daily resort fee of $29.95.  A total of $736.94 for the 3 days.  No Saturday arrival.  There is a 48-hour cancellation policy.  Call 800-648-5080 use booking code (TJAZ2ES) Esperanza HS Jazz Booster Club.  This block of rooms will be held until March 24.
